As we announced yesterday, LightSpeed 3.1 includes designer support for Visual Studio 2010. However, if you've been using the 2010 designer which was released as a separate preview for LightSpeed 3.0, then you will need to uninstall this before installing LightSpeed 3.1. The LightSpeed 3.1 installer will not automatically uninstall it for you. If you encounter odd behaviour in VS2010 after ugprading to LightSpeed 3.1, check in Control Panel -- you might have the separate designer build still lurking around. If you've been using LightSpeed 3.0 nightly builds for VS2010 integration, this shouldn't be an issue for you. |

Does someone had problem with Lightspeed in VS 2010 when saving model in model designer was removing model .cs file? I had this problem very ofter recently (files left are .lsmodel and .diagram) |

P.S. I'm also getting error: Methond not found: 'Boolean Mindscape.Lightspeed.Generator.Integration.IPropertyReference.get_validateUnique()'.' when I try to update model from source (MS SQL 2008). I had 3.1 version and now I'm using latest nightly and I'm still getting this error. Any ideas? |

I've removed Lightspeed, no other instance was in Control Panel when I removed it, runned devenv /setup, installed again. Still the same problem. |

You probably have one of the standalone preview builds of the VS2010 designer still installed. Look in Control Panel for something like "LightSpeed Model Designer for Visual Studio 2010." |

Look to my previous post: I've removed Lightspeed, no other instance was in Control Panel when I removed it, runned devenv /setup, installed again. Still the same problem. |

I understand that you've checked in Control Panel -- what I was trying to indicate was that the standalone preview got installed under the name "LightSpeed" rather than "Mindscape LightSpeed" so you might not have noticed it when you were removing previous versions of the "normal" LightSpeed installation. I do think it's worth double-checking because what you're describing sounds exactly like what another customer saw and that was the cause in his case. Another way to check is to look in C:\Program Files\Mindscape\LightSpeed\Tools and see if there is a directory in there called "VS2010 Designer." Again, that's the standalone preview. |
