You can create derived types without a discriminator, but such types are not polymorphic, and are therefore limited in what they can do. In particular, if you want to use associations to a base class, then the derived classes must be discriminated. This has always been the case; we haven't changed anything recently. |

For time ago (version 2.2.1328.12347) I used different models with a "main" base class and query Views with different "columns/properties" against a thirdparty sql server... It work with 2.2.1328.12347 but at some point when trying to upgrade the project I getting a exception "Descendent type without discriminating" I could make workaround with make/generate one class for every view... |
