Installed Lightspeed 3.1 and the designer doesn't appear. All I see is xml. Note that I saw in a previous thread something about 'Open a VS2010 command prompt and run devenv /setup' If you provide this as the solution to my problem please explain how to open the command prompt. Thanks. |

Please try the following: * Go into Control Panel. Uninstall any versions of LightSpeed you see there, including "LightSpeed Model Designer for Visual Studio 2010" if it's in there. * Open a VS2010 command prompt (see below) and run devenv /setup. * Reinstall LightSpeed 3.1. To open a VS2010 command prompt, go to the Start menu and choose All Programs > Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 > Visual Studio Tools > Visual Studio Command Prompt (2010). If the problem persists, check your .csproj file. VS2010 seems to remember if it has ever opened a file as XML (even if it has done so due to an error) and to refuse to go back to the designer. Close the solution in VS. Open the .csproj file in a text editor and locate the reference to the .lsmodel file. If this has a subtag of <SubType>Designer</SubType> then delete this subtag. (You may want to back up your .csproj file first.) Save the edited file and reopen the solution. Let us know if none of this helps. |

Finally got around to trying this. Seemed to work after also doing Clean and Rebuild. Thanks. |
