I'm using Lightspeed v3.1 5/6/10 nightly build with VS2008. Went to work on the model in the designer and all of the tools are missing in the toolbox. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Lightspeed with no change. How can I get the tools back! Thanks |

Try running devenv /setup and devenv /resetskippkgs from a VS2008 command prompt (see the "Troubleshooting" sticky thread if you're not sure how to do this). If these don't help let us know. |

Also please double-check in Control Panel and make sure that there's only one instance of "Mindscape LightSpeed" listed there. |

I got just the Entity tool back. |

Also, Lightspeed is listed only once in Add/Remove Programs. |

I've been trying to reproduce this without success, and I'm afraid I'm a bit stumped as to what might be happening here. Could you try going into: C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\9.0 and deleting the toolbox.tbd and toolboxIndex.tbd files? Please note this may mess up any toolbox customisations. You could also try running devenv from the command line with the /log option. This will create a file named ActivityLog.xml in the C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VisualStudio\9.0 directory, which may provide information if VS has run into any errors. (For easiest reading view this in Internet Explorer which will apply an XSL to highlight errors and warnings. The LightSpeed package GUID begins with af67eb34.) |

I'm running XP. I found toolbox.tbd, toolboxIndex.tbd, toolbox_reset.tbd and toolboxIndex_reset.tbd in C:\Documents and Settings\slh\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\VisualStudio\9.0. I assumed that's what I'm looking for so I deleted all four of them and restarted VS. Success!! Thanks |
