I'm getting a strange exception thrown for what seems to be a simple query.
I have two entities: Fruit and Apple. Apple derives from Fruit.
When running the following query:
from apple in Apples where apple.Name == "royal gala" select apple.Name
I get this error message: SqlException: The multi-part identifier "Fruit.Name" could not be bound.
The raw SQL looks like:
SELECT Apple.Name AS [Apple.Name] FROM Bowl.Fruit WHERE (Fruit.Name = 'royal gala' AND Fruit.FruitTypeId = 1)
These entities are using class table inheritance and key table for identity. |

Could you try upgrading to the latest nightly please? This looks like a bug which we have previously found and fixed. If it's still there in the latest nightly then let us know. |

Have got the latest nightly build this morning and I still get the error.

I've identified and fixed what I think is your issue -- can't be 100% certain without seeing your model though. The fix will be included in the 28 July 2010 nightly build, available from about 1500 GMT. If you still get the error with the new build, could you provide us with a copy of your model please? (Just the C# file(s) should do, no need for the SQL.) Thanks! |
