The password in the ConnectionString is encrypted. What is the recommended approach for calling the decrypt method before LightSpeed uses it to authenticate to the database? |

Have a look at using a custom connection strategy if you need to manage this manually at the point where LightSpeed is going to open a connection - http://www.mindscapehq.com/documentation/lightspeed/Building-Applications-with-LightSpeed/Customising-How-LightSpeed-Connects-to-the-Database Just as an aside, have you looked at using the out of the box protected configuration approach for encryption web.config sections? http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dtkwfdky.aspx The advantage being that it makes it transparent for applications so you dont need to worry about any custom implementation to handle the decryption.
