I recently upgraded my harddrive and went through a reinstall. I installed the same daily build as I was previously using to develop with. Since completing the fresh install my LightSpeed visual designer no longer works in VS2010. I have only installed VS2010 and SQL Server 2008 R2 on this machine, followed by LightSpeed31Professional-20100805.msi This version gave me no problems in the past. I also tried installing the latest daily and the baseline 3.1.1 and all results in the same inability to load .lsmodel files in the designer. Any idea what's going on? |

Disregard, it looks like it just wasn't set as the default model provider, so choosing "Open With..." and selecting LightSpeed Designer worked. |

Ah, thanks for the update. This may mean you accidentally opened a .lsmodel file in VS2010 before installing LightSpeed -- this can cause VS2010 to go, "Oh, he opened it in the XML editor once, so he must ALWAYS want to open it in the XML editor." If this happens again then see http://www.mindscape.co.nz/forums/Thread.aspx?ThreadID=2438 for the fix. Anyway, glad it's sorted out now! |
