Hi, We currently use Mindscape WPF Diagrams 2.0 in our application. Is it possible to refer two different versions of Mindscape DLLs in two different projects of the same Visual Studio solution? Our scenario is as below:
we have a Visual Studio 2010 solution in which Project A (Class Library) uses Mindscape WPF Diagrams 2.0 DLLs, Project B (Class Library) uses Mindscape WPF Diagrams 4.0 DLLs and Project C which is our application's main project references Project A, Project B and Mindscape WPF Diagrams 4.0 DLLs. We are getting compilation errors when building the solution, and the errors are that related to the Mindscape versions. Could you please elaborate a bit on the correct steps to follow to be able to use multiple versions of Mindscape DLLs in different projects of the same Visual Studio solution? Also, Is it possible to purchase premium support along with the Mindscape WPF Diagrams 4.0 licence so that we can contact your team over phone for any technical issues we encounter with the product and its usage? Thanks. -Nishanth |

Hi Nishanth, Unfortunately I don't know of any way that this set up will be possible. The names of the assemblies and also the namespaces of the 2 different versions are going to conflict in Project C. Also, as we no longer support version 2.0, I'd recommend using version 4.0 in both projects. -Jason Fauchelle |

Hello Jason, Thanks for your quick reply! Yes, we are actually planning to upgrade to version 4.0, but we wanted to do the upgrade one project at a time. Looks like we have to upgrade to 4.0 in all the projects at once. Will there be any premium support available for us via telephone or email when we buy the licence for 4.0 WPF Diagrams from Mindscape? Thank you. -Nishanth |

Hi Nishanth, All licenses have 12 months of support via the forums. I'll answer all questions that you post. If you purchase the site-license with source code option, you'll get high priority support through the forum or email. Best to only get that if you need the site-license or/and source code though. Let me know if you have further questions. -Jason Fauchelle |
