A small request... I heard and understood JD's reasoning at Tech Ed regarding the usefulness of that post-installation introductory video. However, after installing nightly on an almost every 1-2 days basis for almost a year, it has become almost as welcoming as those pop-up ads... Any chance you could leave it as a link in the Start menu instead? :) |

I find it very hurtful that you don't want more of my voice ;-) It's unlikely that we'll axe it in any hurry because even in the start menu people seem to never see things. What we should look at doing as a general case is working out when an install is upgrading an existing installation and not show it then. We'll have a chat about it and see if we can think up something that will make it better for you. - JD |

If it's any consolation, I thoroughly enjoyed your start-up experience sharing session at Tech Ed. Did you notice all the Mindscape sessions were packed? They should call it _Ms_ Tech Ed. Anyway, not show video on upgrade would be really awesome :) |
