Hi there, When you use custom data type and you sync the database the model warns that there are changes. Example: Custom Data type added Money which is a decimal type. Add a property to the Entity set the data type to Money. Right click and update database. The database is updated, when you update database again, the same change is displayed. Kind regards, Johan |

Hi Johan, I am not able to reproduce this using the instructions above. Just to confirm here is what I am doing.
Which provider are you using?

Hi Jeremy, I've attached the definition of my Money type. Cheers, Johan |

Thanks - that clears up what the difference is. This is coming about because we have a hard coded mapping between the money database type and Decimal CLR type. We see the money from the database schema would expect to have it map to a Decimal, but in your model it is defined as a Money (which is still actually a Decimal under the covers) so thats why its thinking it needs to continually apply this change.

Hi Jeremy, Is there anyway that you can resolve this issue? Kind regards, Johan |

No, not at this stage Im afraid. There is a feature request for better support of custom types which this would fall under which we are planning to put some time into in August alongside some of the other requests in the feature request forum, so it will somewhat depend how complicated this ends up being but hopefully we can get this out for you then.
