Hello, I have a DB with about 25-30 tables in it and notice that sometimes when I drag some entities onto the designer that not all of the relationships show up. I have to delete the entity, then re-add it, and then maybe I'll get all of the relationships visually accurate at which point I can then add aggregates. Despite them not showing up in the designer, the generated code has the relationships intact. Any ideas? Thanks, Chris |

If I am understanding you correctly the relationships are actually being defined since there is code being generated for them, the issue is that there is no relationship line being shown on the designer? If this is the case if you right click and do a re-arrange of the model do the relationship lines show up? Is it possible for you to send through a copy of the model file which we can look at to understand what is occuring here?

Yep you are understanding me correctly, and next time I see it happen I'll be sure to send along some files for you.. I'll have a full build script schema along with a screenshot of designer and the designer file and also the generated code.. Thanks, Chris |

Hello - So, I created a test solution and dropped all my tables in the designer.. Some of the relationship lines were not drawn - so I did what you suggested.. Right clicked the model, then made it wider.. and voila, all of the other relationship lines showed up. Would it be helpful if I attach a zipped version of the solution along with a full build script? Thanks, Chris |
