Periodically I am encountering request for activation a LightSpeed while using LightSpeed Modeler in VisualStudio, although I have already activated the LightSpeed several times. Is it normal behavior for that version (LightSpeed 4.0) or it is specific for beta? Very annoying thing... |

No - it should not be prompting for activation multiple times if you are actually activating it. Is this under Visual Studio 2008/2010 or both and can you let me know what your UAC setting is currently set to?

Thanks for the details. Can you open up regedit and check what values are held under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mindscape\Licensing - I am expecting you probably dont have any values there. If you keep regedit open while you activate, can you refresh and let me know what values are under that key at that point.

While the VS was loded, and I had activated LightSpeed previously, the "LightSpeed 4" key was there, having long coded value. After that I've restarted the VS and got message about activation the LightSpeed, the "LightSpeed 4" key has disappeard from regestry... |

Thanks for the extra detail - I believe I have tracked down the issue. I have removed your existing key, so could you please generate a new key and let me know if this resolves the problem.

Does activation process require access to Internet? |
|
|
No you dont need to be connected, however if you need to activate in an offline mode then download the offline key by going in to your account, clicking on Manage Keys and then Download Offline Key. You can only use the short form product keys if you are online. To activate with the offline key, bring up the activation dialog, enter your email address and then paste in the license data blob rather than the short product key and click Activate.

I have temporarily solved problem by denying editing the Registry Path with license information for my user... |
