I am using Lightspeed 4.0.1600.21511 (nightly 26 sept 2012) on the Northwind database. I try to retrieve all Orders with the region of the Employee:
This results in 10 queries, one to retrieve the orders and nine to retrieve employees. Why does Lightspeed not use a JOIN SQL statement to retrieve the Orders with the Employees in one query? |

This occurs because we are not able to handle the projection across that traversal server side. Where you are traversing an association in a projection, the projection will be performed client side, so you will either want to eager load it or look at performing the query with an explicit join e.g.
This will be translated into a server side projection.
