Hi guys,
I've created a model consisting of some entities and decided to finally try out the Migrations feature . The Migrations menu came up in VS 2010, I've created (using the create new project option) and executed the migration successfully - can't say how happy I was with the fact that it worked right away. Since my solution consists of N projects with associated solution folders, I've decided to move the migrations project to a separate solution folder b/c it just made sense to me. Having moved the migrations project I've switched back to the designer, made some changes and decided to create another migration to reflect on the latest changes that I've made. Amazingly the migrations menu options in VS2010 were grayed out. When I moved the migrations project back to the root of the solution it became available again.
Would it be possible to support the designer accessing the migrations project anywhere in the solution ? Cheers |

We can access migrations projects in the top level or in top-level folders (e.g. Solution > Data), but we currently have a limitation where we can't access migrations projects in nested folders (e.g. Solution > Data > Infrastructure). So you should be able to use solution folders, just not yet solution folders within solution folders. I'll see if I can get this resolved for you. |
