Using the design I have entity property named 'weight' and the data type is 'Decimal'. Where/how would I define the number of places? |

In what context? If you want to validate the number of decimal places entered by the user, you'll need a custom validation. If you want to have the designer create the column with a specific precision and scale, you'll need to specify the Database Native Type. (Using a UDT may be a handy technique if you have multiple properties that have the same precision and scale settings.) |

Sorry but what is UDT? and how do I configure the Database Native Type? |

UDT = User Defined Type. See http://www.mindscapehq.com/documentation/lightspeed/Working-with-Models-in-the-Visual-Designer/Enums-and-Other-User8209Defined-Types Unfortunately Database Native Type is not currently surfaced in the designer and is only available by editing the .lsmodel file directly. (Sorry, I had forgotten that we had suppressed this in the UI.) For info about configuring it, see http://www.mindscapehq.com/forums/Thread.aspx?PostID=9106 |
