Posting in the real forum - sorry about this. My data model is starting to get ridiculously large - currently at about 3 tables. and it is still in early stages and prone to churn... so i don't typically re-align the entities in the viewer because I know they will change soon. In the LightSpeed Model explorer, on an entity, it would be super awesome to right click -> Go To Entity and it'll pan the lsmodel view to that entity and have it highlighted. |

I have a similar issue - the model is 3-4 screens high and tall (even on a hi-res monitor) and I find the problem has only got worse with time. I designed the model a few years ago but even I sometimes struggle to remember where on the screen I should look for a particular entity since changes to the model are relatively rare. Is this a feasible feature request or are we at the mercy of Visual Studio's diagram limitations? VS 2010; LightSpeed 5 beta |

Yep, this sounds feasible, if you have a look at the filtering at the moment it kind of does this already once you filter down to a single entity that is off screen but we will always be at the mercy of Visual Studio so there may be some issues. I will have a look into this and let you know :)

Sweet! Love me some Lightspeed Support! And - Thanks for the 'filtering' tip. My eyes never wandered south so I never saw it.. Definitely will be helpful in the meantime! Thanks, Chris |
