Really wish there was a handy Lightspeed cheat sheet available, a really long double columned table, in the left column how you used to do this in raw SQL and in the right hand column how you do the same thing in Lightspeed I'm finding that I'm not operating at Lightspeed at all when it comes to complex queries (like my last problem with inner joins). |

Thanks for the suggestion - Ive popped this on the wishlist for you here: http://www.mindscapehq.com/thinktank/suggestion/776766. In general we are a bit averse to this as LightSpeed is entity centric and our querying API is oriented around this so you shouldnt be thinking about "how do I translate SQL". We would prefer the querying API is more intuative to be able to naturally make that jump although I know though this can be hard when you know how you would solve the problem in SQL and just want to quickly know what incantation is required :) If you have a wishlist of the stuff you "used to do" then we would certainly welcome your input since that could quickly form the start of such a list.. :)

I see where you are coming from, but I feel that most Lightspeed Newbies are going to have the "baggage" of knowing how to do it the old way. |
