I'm trying to convert an EF4 EDMX file to LightSpeed (VS2012 and Lightspeed 3.11). Based on the forums, I'm dragging my EDMX over to the lightspeed model to convert it, but that doesn't do anything. No errors/warnings, but nothing happens. Is there a new procedure to do this? Our model is huge and most of the entities have been manually renamed, so importing from the DB is not very practical. |

Thanks for reporting this. There is an issue when importing EDMX files using Visual Studio 2012 if you did not have a connection string set which I assume might be the scenario you are working with, this has been corrected in the nightlies for LightSpeed 5. You should be able to work around this in your current setup though by ensuring you have a connectionStrings section which has at least one connection string defined.

I've got a connection string, in fact i have several, but still nothing. I just tried the nighly from last night also, same thing, with or without a connection string.. We do have a rather complex EDMX, is it possible Lightspeed just can't handle it? |

Are you able to send through your EDMX file and a corresponding script to create the database schema please and I can have a look at this to see if there is another error being encountered. If there is an error we should be able to look at a fix for you. If you would prefer you can email this through to us at support at mindscape.co.nz rather than attaching it to the forum post.
