Hi Ivan, I created two models (filename: modelA, modelB with the same name and namespace) and created in each of them an entity (entityA, entityB). I copy and "Past as link" the entityA to modelB and created a OneToMany asscociation to entityB. Than I copy and "Past as link" the entityB to modelA. I expected that the OneToMany association will also be copied to modelA. Did I miss something or is that behavior by design?

At the moment, Paste as Link just pastes the entity. I'll have a look to see whether it is feasible to figure out associations and paste them as well -- thanks for the suggestion! Another quick way to do this is to create both entities and the association in one file, then right-click the association and choose Refactor > Split Model at Association. (However this only works when creating a new file: you can't use an existing file as the split target.) |
