Silverlight Area Chart
Area charts are good for plotting data related to value or quantity such as share prices or the number of products sold. Compared to line charts, an area chart renders a colored area between the X axis and the data line to suggest that the space below the line represents a meaningful total.
Multiple data series
Display multiple data sets overlaid on one another -- for example to represent different time periods -- so that users can relate activity across the data sets. Silverlight Elements smartly uses transparency to ensure that all data sets remain visible. You can even stack data series on top of each other using the stacked area chart.
Display custom symbols and data labels at each data point. This can help users locate key data points, quickly assess data values and distinguish between data series or cases.
Full support for Silverlight data binding makes it easy to hook charts up to your business objects and to keep your views lightweight and easy to test.
Every part of the chart control can be customized to suit your applications. Styles or templates can be applied to the title, legend items, axis labels and much more. The area fill and line stroke of each data series can be adjusted independently, and you can use the full range of Silverlight brushes to create attractive visual effects or highlight a particular series.
And much more
Plus lots of great features and options supported across the Silverlight Chart range, including alternate Y axes, data labelling, zoom support, configurable selection modes, chart events, flexible axis labelling and scaling, background elements and high performance with even the largest data sets.
