The Mindscape Silverlight Book control provides an interesting and rich way of viewing content in an application. The Book control can be filled with any kind of content across a number of pages. Users can then flick through the content by turning the pages with the mouse.
Various commands allow you to flip to the next, previous, first, last or specific page in the book. These commands can be invoked using your application code, or by attaching them to a button.
Each page is automatically given a number based on its index. Page numbers can easily be displayed and positioned on each page however you need.
The number of pages does not affect the performance at all. The book only loads the visible pages by using virtualization. This allows the book to contain as many pages as you need.
The Book control can be customized to meet the unique requirements of you application. By creating a page template, you can apply color schemes, layouts and borders to all the pages. Page numbers can also be customized to change their font size, background decorations or to display roman numerals.
